What is habitat creation?

BY

Currently habitat creation doesn’t create equivalent sites to old, long-established ones. It isn’t a substitute for the conservation of the best sites,  however it is able to provide for the common and widespread which may be declining, and some rarer species may turn up.

Habitat creation involves moving a habitat from one location to another with as many of its species as possible and creating a new habitat on land previously occupied by another habitat, for example; wild flower grassland or wasteland on cultivable land and woodland on grassland.

There are a few issues that are associated with the advocation of translocation. This depends upon site value, the likely level of success in moving it, suitable use of location and any other possible alternatives.

In order to carry out a successful translocation, habitat creation, there are certain things that need to be done. Careful organisation is a key aspect of this, research into receptor site must be done and the developer must be committed to the project. There must be proper funding established and available alongside a Long term management plan. Translocation of a habitat will fail without all these in place

Duxburys website goes LIVE!!

BY

Duxburys Commercial is one of the leading firms of independent Chartered Surveyors, Commercial Property Consultants, Commercial Agents and Non Domestic Energy Assessors. In late 2010 they approached 2am Media and requested a complete re-brand.

They wanted to step away from their website’s old, outdated look and move towards a bolder professional image.

(This was the Duxburys Commercial website before 2am Media took over the account).

This was partly because of the current struggles in property market. Duxburys Commercial felt as though they needed to stand out from the other key players in the market, in order to compete. 2am Media have designed a simple, yet strong logo that is bold and suitable for the company. The new iconic logo has high visibility on “for sale” boards on properties and is recognisable to the public.

Duxburys Commercial’s website has been re-vamped by 2am Media from a website with a bland, white background and very little content, to a clean cut, professional looking, multi-functional website that is easy to navigate. The re-vamped website now had a vast amount of content that ranges from a detailed overview of who the company are and what they do, the services offered, recent news about the company, contact information etc. The property search function has also been updated to be more attractive and user friendly.
