Fleetwood Town maintained their grip at the top of the Blue Square North despite recording a first home defeat of the campaign. Northwich Victoria took a convincing three point’s home from Highbury as Town slumped to back-to-back defeats following last weekend’s reversal at lowly Gainsborough Trinity.

Blue Square North leaders Fleetwood, who are sponsored by 2am saw their nine match unbeaten run brought to an end yesterday by a Gainsborough Trinity who started the day second-bottom.
Gareth Seddon was twice frustrated by the offisde flag with his second looking like a clean goal.
Micky Mellon’s side maintain their six point cushion at the top and next see action away at Stalybridge Celtic this Tuesday.
