A Rising Tide
This new enterprise gave 2am the chance to do something we relish—build a brand from scratch. With no previous branding or direction to work from, we were given free reign to come up with something eye-catching, stylish and fit for purpose.
We anchored the company’s look around marine colours and clean design, indicative of the project’s commitment to clean, tidal energy.
2am was on hand to manage the digital, creative design and communications for the company’s Hydro Power planning application, as well as leading the brand management, stakeholder engagement and creative design requirements as the project progressed to the formal planning application phase. We don’t like to blow our own trumpet too hard, but 2am was also instrumental in communicating the project vision, which led to £350m of prefeasibility and post-planning funding from Aventa Capital.
Go With the Flow
We also had a hand in the design of several pieces of the literature for the company, including investor prospectuses and exhibition handouts. The aim with these printed materials was to communicate key information in concise, bite-sized chunks. Striking the right tone was a careful balancing act, as we had to fully explain the Wyre Tidal Barrage’s purpose without patronising the reader, who was likely to be someone involved in the industry with a certain amount of prior knowledge.Website
