Total Warrior – Brad Arnett

Brad celebrated his one-year anniversary with 2am yesterday, but unfortunately there was no cake because everyone’s still getting fit for Total Warrior! So how is Brad feeling about it all..? •

Our Total Warrior run on August 1st is edging ever closer now, and we’re well on the way to smashing our target. To support the good work at Trinity Hospice, we’re trying to raise £500 to give a little back to the establishment that has helped so many of our friends and family members.

But without further ado, here’s our Junior Web Developer, Brad, with his training progress!

 

What does your Total Warrior training regime look like?

I’m eating healthier and jogging a lot more. When I started, I was doing around 6km with the dog, including walking intervals every 1km or so, but now I’m consistently jogging 5km uninterrupted.

Has your routine changed massively from what you did before?

Definitely a big change. I used to play football once a week but it was far from a training regime now i’m trying to go to the gym at least 3 times a week and doing some strength training in between.

What obstacle are you most looking forward to?

Probably the 120ft slide hopefully it’s at the beginning and I can gain enough momentum to fly through the rest of the course!

What obstacle could you do without?

The 10ft wall climb. I’m trying to build up the old arm muscles in preparation for that one.

Why the hell are you doing this?

It’s a challenge because it’s completely out of my comfort zone. It also means I have to get fit to avoid total embarrassment.

How good does that beer sound?

Not good, I’m a cider drinker. You can have mine.
